Infrastructure/Storage Engineer

Responsible for identifying, architecting, managing/supporting operations and documenting all hardware and software solutions related to Server and Storage systems.

• Identify, evaluate, and architect hardware/software systems also leads the support and resolution to production system related challenges for Virtualization, Server, Storage, and Backups.
• Oversee the process of backups and identify future solutions and methodology to satisfy policy.
• Perform windows administration and reporting of AD including user/computer accounts and configurations, GPO’s.
• Install, configure, and maintains server and storage hardware.
• Present solutions related to the design, development, implementation, and operations of server and storage systems.
• Maintain monitoring, proactive tuning, and system/software upgrades of systems for optimum performance.
• Provide regular after-hour and weekend maintenance/support as required in addition to work week.
• Mentor Junior Server/Storage Engineer and helpdesk techs including providing demonstrations and training.
• Other projects as assigned. A wide degree of flexibility, creativity and latitude and professionalism is expected.
• BA/BS degree
• Demonstrated Server and Storage experience performing all of the duties as outlined above in a company of similar or larger size.

  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail, inclusive of extended hours with little notice
